13 June 2018 Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) Council has confirmed all the 11 applicants for the KTU Rector’s position as the candidates who will further participate in the election. Estonia is about to endorse an agreement between the governments of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania under which the countries will automatically recognize the education certificates issued by education establishments in another country that is a party to the agreement, including academic degrees, applied higher education diplomas and high school certificates.

The group of scientists from Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), Lithuania has invented the innovative method for indoor positioning of people and things using wireless network. It localises a human being or an object within an accuracy of 1 meter, it works in any device having a Wi-Fi function, and can be applied for numerous areas of human activity – from logistics to health care.

Monday, 28 May was the deadline for the submission of documents in the open international competition for the position of Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) Rector. 11 applicants have passed the initial evaluation of the Election Board composed of the members of the KTU Council, and will further participate in the competition.

On 5-6 June, two representatives from the UK’s Coventry University – Mark Holton, Executive Director of the Research Centre for Global Learning, and Andrew Turner, Associate Pro-Vice Chancellor, Teaching and Learning – visited Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU) for seminars on modern teaching and learning.
