The meeting with Continental will take place in the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Studentų Street 48).
Shayanas Ali, the head of Continental headquarters in Lithuania, Hans-Jurgen Braun, who is managing Continental’s electronic components’ factories and Katharina Rath, Vice-President of Human Resources Management will be among the speakers of the event. After the conference, the students and all other participants of the event will be invited to visit the Continental exhibition.

Continental’s taking interest in the University demonstrates that the company values qualifications of our students and researchers”, says Professor Algimantas Valinevičius, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
He emphasises the opportunity for students to talk informally with the representatives of the company, to find out about the possibilities of work placement and permanent job, to discuss the topics for their final projects.
One of the largest companies in global automotive industry, Continental was founded in 1871. The company is producing safe, efficient, smart electronics solutions for vehicles, traffic and transportation. In 2017 the company’s revenue reached 44 billion EUR; Continental has more than 240 thousand employees in 61 countries.
The new Continental production site, which is being built in Kaunas Free Economic Zone, will employ approximately 1,000 people. Production managers, electronics, robotics, process engineers, smart technologies, logistics specialists and managers will be needed.
The Continental Day is open for students and community from all the University’s faculties and departments.
