President Gitanas Nausėda is travelling to Paris to participate in a meeting of the ‘coalition of the willing’ on support and security guarantees for Ukraine on Thursday.

On March 24-25 Minister of National Defence is conducting a visit to the United Kingdom. She will meet with Secretary of State for Defence John Healey, Chair of the Defence Committee of the Parliament Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi and other British MPs.

Addressing the European Council on Thursday, President Gitanas Nausėda stressed the need to bolster Europe’s defense.

On 17 March in Brussels, Lithuania's Minister of Foreign Affairs Kęstutis Budrys met with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. They discussed preparations for the NATO summit in The Hague, increasing military support for Ukraine, European security challenges, and the need for NATO allies to increase defence spending.

On March 19-20 Minister of National Defence Dovilė Šakalienė is conducting a visit to Finland. She is planned to meet with Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen, Chairman of the Defence Committee Parliament of Finland Jukka Kopra, and representatives of Finland’s defence industry and visit the Jaeger Brigade.

On 13 March, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Kęstutis Budrys, met with the Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8) Ambassadors to Lithuania. They discussed cooperation between the Nordic and Baltic states, the security situation in the region, and support for Ukraine.

On Saturday, President Gitanas Nausėda participated in a virtual meeting of the ‘coalition of the willing’ to discuss support and security guarantees for Ukraine.

On Tuesday, the European Parliament gave its green light to a new support facility for Moldova, focusing on better financing and democratic oversight.

President Gitanas Nausėda stressed the importance of urgent and resolute decisions to strengthen Europe’s defense capabilities and support Ukraine at the special European Council meeting on Thursday.

On Monday, President Gitanas Nausėda began his visit to the Vatican with a meeting with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Holy See’s Secretary of State.
