On 21 July, political consultations between Lithuania and Kuwait took place in Vilnius, led by Audra Plepytė, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, and Sadiq Mohammed Marafi, Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister for European Affairs. During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania and Kuwait, regarding continued political consultations, which will contribute to the development of bilateral dialogue.

President Gitanas Nausėda, together with the Federal President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier – currently on an official visit to Lithuania – took part in a discussion held on Monday at the Thomas Mann Culture Center in Nida.

During the NATO Summit in The Hague, President Gitanas Nausėda met with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney to discuss the security situation in Europe and sanctions against Russia.

The U.S. carried out attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities, including the Fordow uranium enrichment facility, on Saturday night, U.S. President Donald Trump conveyed, describing the actions as “very successful.” At the same time, Donald Trump called on Iran to make peace, threatening much stronger attacks if it does not.
