The NATO Summit, taking place in The Hague, will focus on increasing defense spending among member states, strengthening NATO’s deterrence and defense posture, and reinforcing transatlantic unity and the commitment to collective defense under Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty.
The President will emphasize the need to allocate at least 5% of GDP to defense, further strengthen security in the Baltic Sea region and ensure a permanent NATO troop presence on the Alliance’s eastern flank. He will also call for continued and uninterrupted support for Ukraine.
