On 26 July, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Neris Germanas met with the outgoing Ambassador of Slovenia to Lithuania Robert Krmelj, who resides in Warsaw.

Earlier this July the Ministry of National Defence and the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) signed a contract on infrastructure development projects of the Lithuanian Armed Forces which will significantly improve training conditions in Lithuania for both, Lithuanian and allied troops, when implemented.

On 16-17 July, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius attended the 2nd meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs from the EU and from the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) in Brussels.

In the meeting of the speakers of parliaments of Central and Eastern Europe held in Warsaw, Viktoras Pranckietis, Speaker of the Seimas, addressed the heads of parliaments and proposed focusing on the sensitive problems of the region.

In Tbilisi, Chancellor of the Government Algirdas Stončaitis met with the staff and the students of the Centre for the Lithuanian language and culture, which has been operating since 2012 at Sakartvelo Technical University.

On 16 July, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius attended the Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Brussels. The meeting focused on the implementation of decisions taken at the Eastern Partnership summit in Brussels, as well as preparations for the Eastern Partnership Foreign Ministers' meeting to be held in Luxembourg this October.

Following the information published by the United States Department of State that Lithuania is among the most dedicated countries in the fight against trafficking in human beings, Lithuania is ever more committed to continue its efforts in this regard. Having taken over the coordination of the matter in its own hands, the Government is planning to continue the relentless fight while taking on board NGOs and national embassies operating abroad.
