Parliament (drafts No XIIP-927(3), XIIP-928(3), XIIP-929(3), and XIIP-930(3), respectfully. The decision was taken to adopt these amendments in order to restrict the possibility to amend electoral laws from the date of the announcement of the election date to the publication of the election results.
The Amendments adopted will limit the possibility to amend the electoral laws from the day of the announcement of the date of the Presidential elections, the regular elections to the Seimas or elections to Municipal Councils, and the elections to the European Parliament, to the day of publication of the final results of the elections or the invalidation of the election results. The exemption will be limited to the implementation of a ruling of the Constitutional Court or a European Union legal act.
