Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė had a conference call with the American Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania to discuss the developments in the bilateral trade, prospects for the economic cooperation and efforts in bringing down COVID-19 cases.

In her conversation with Ambassador Brian Olley, the Prime Minister has emphasised that Lithuania will continue to work to maintain the closest possible relations with the United Kingdom.

On February 5 Minister of National Defence Arvydas Anušauskas met with Ambassador of France to Lithuania HE Claire Lignieres-Counathe. Minister thanked France for the contribution to the efforts to enhance the security in the Baltic region. France deploys capabilities to the NATO Air policing Mission in the Baltic states, NATO enhanced Forward Presence Battalion Battle Groups Lithuania and Estonia, international military exercises in Lithuania.

On 4 February, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Mantas Adomėnas held a virtual meeting with the State Secretary of the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs Daniela Cujbă and discussed the topical issues of bilateral cooperation between Lithuania and Moldova, as well as Moldova's agenda of European integration.

The Foreign Affairs and International Trade committees will be assessing the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement on Thursday.

On 2 February, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis held a virtual meeting with his North Macedonian counterpart Bujar Osmani.

On 29 January, Lithuania completed all the necessary procedures and became a full-fledged member of the Three Seas Initiative Investment Fund (3SIIF). The Government has authorised a state-owned national promotional institution - the Public Investment Development Agency (VIPA) - to represent the state of Lithuania in it.

On 29 January, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis together with his Ukrainian and Polish counterparts Dmytro Kuleba and Zbigniew Rau participated in the second Lublin Triangle ministerial meeting. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting was held remotely.

Minister of National Defence Arvydas Anušauskas and Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Lithuania HE Volodymyr Yatsenkivskyi discussed bilateral defence cooperation of the two countries, participation of Ukraine in multilateral cybersecurity projects, as well as other initiatives, and exchanged views on the security situation in the region, at a meeting today, January 28.

Europe and Africa must move away from a donor-recipient relationship, said the Development Committee, outlining its vision for a relationship between the two continents.
