“Israel has become home to a large community of Litvaks. I sincerely hope that, under your leadership, the close bilateral dialogue between Israel and Lithuania as well as cooperation at the level of international organizations will consistently grow stronger,” Gitanas Nausėda wrote in his message of congratulations and was happy to note that the new President of Israel had Lithuanian roots.
President Gitanas Nausėda expressed the assurances of his highest consideration to the President-elect of Israel and wished him success and determination in achieving peace in the Middle East and ensuring well-being for the people of his country.
