“In addition to close bilateral relations, our countries share common views on many security and defense, foreign policy, and economic issues. I am pleased by our active cooperation in the European Union. In particular, I appreciate Denmark’s solidarity at the European Council in taking firm decisions regarding the actions of the Belarusian regime in the hijacking of a civilian aircraft,” the President wrote in his message of congratulations.
According to the President, Lithuania highly values Denmark as a credible NATO ally, its solidarity and continued contribution to security of the Baltic region. Danish troops will join the NATO Air Policing mission in the Baltic States for the eighth time this September.
On the occasion of the national day, the President wished the Royal Family health and well-being as well as long years of prosperity to Denmark.
