President Gitanas Nausėda met with the Presidents of Romania, Poland and Latvia in Kaunas on Friday. The leaders discussed security and defense, reinforcement of NAT’s eastern flank, historical memory and fight against disinformation, support for Ukraine, and sanctions against Russia.

On Thursday, the European Parliament adopted three resolutions on the respect for human rights in Afghanistan, Belarus and Democratic Republic of Congo.

Acknowledging existing and potential security threats and challenges to Euro-Atlantic community, noting Russia's unprovoked and unjustified military aggression against Ukraine, taking note of the Declarations of NATO Summits in Madrid (2022) and Bucharest (2008), Acknowledging the importance of Eastern partners to security and stability of the region, stressing the common need to counter Russia’s policy of revisionism and attempts to rewrite history.

At a meeting of the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) on 16 November, Lithuania became the 31st member of the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC), which is an important international forum of many of the largest providers of aid.

On 16–17 November, President Gitanas Nausėda will go on a working visit to the Czech Republic.

On Thursday, President Gitanas Nausėda met with the Speaker of the Senate of Canada, George J. Furey, to discuss bilateral cooperation between Lithuania and Canada, support for Ukraine, and strengthening security in the Baltic region.

On 10-12 November, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis is visiting Berlin, Germany, where he will meet with Germany's Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock. The meeting will focus on bilateral relations between Lithuania and Germany, security and defence cooperation, security situation in the region, including Russia’s war in Ukraine, comprehensive assistance to Ukraine, relations with China, other topical items on the European and international agendas.
