The meeting focused on bilateral relations between Lithuania and Azerbaijan and the upcoming visit of President Ilham Aliyev to Lithuania later this month. The President underlined that Lithuania is interested in expanding further cooperation with Azerbaijan in economic, educational, innovation, IT, and other areas.
Gitanas Nausėda pointed out that Lithuania supports the development of collaboration and strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the European Union in the field of energy and that the EU-Azerbaijan cooperation agreement should remain a political priority.
