President Dalia Grybauskaitė presented to the Council of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) - one of the world's most influential organizations - Lithuania's preparations for OECD membership and answered questions from ambassadors of 34 countries. Only economically developed and stable countries can become members of this organization. It currently comprises 34 strongest economies.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė, who is attending Poland's Independence Day commemoration in Warsaw, congratulated the Polish people on the occasion of their national holiday. She had a bilateral meeting with the President of Poland, Bronisław Komorowski, which focused on regional security issues, common energy projects and the upcoming Vilnius Summit where the future of the EU's relations with its Eastern neighbors will be decided.

On 7 November, Ambassador Rytis Paulauskas, Permanent Representative of Lithuania to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, and Ambassador Evitar Manor, Permanent Representative of Israel to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, exchanged views on Israel's Universal Periodic Review at the UN Human Rights Council on 29 October.

On 11–12 November, representatives of the Baltic Sea Region (BSR) countries will discuss the challenges and opportunities in the BSR when meeting environmental requirements and working together to stimulate economic growth, the creation of jobs, and competitiveness in the region.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė paid a visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to congratulate Lithuanian diplomats on their professional holiday - Diplomats' Day. Lithuanian diplomacy is celebrating the 95th anniversary - the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania was established on 7 November 1918.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė met with the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, David Usupashvili. The meeting focused on preparations for the Vilnius Summit to be held in late November, as well as ongoing reforms and recent presidential election in Georgia.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė, together with Latvian President Andris Bērziņš, Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves and NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, attended NATO Response Force Exercise Steadfast Jazz 2013 at the Adazi Base in Latvia - the first such exercise in the region. It is the largest NATO exercise since 2006.
