Tomorrow, at 12:00 p.m., President Dalia Grybauskaitė, together with Latvian President Andris Bērziņš, Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves and NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, will attend NATO Response Force Exercise Steadfast Jazz 2013 in Latvia.

MEPs are back for a busy committee week in Brussels. The economic committee reviews the impact of the bailout programmes for crisis-stricken countries, while the civil liberties committee continues its inquiry into the NSA scandal after the return of their fact-finding delegation from Washington DC. Political group leaders will revisit the conclusions of the last European Council and MEPs will also vote on the future of the Erasmus programme.

If EU is to show responsibility for the continent, Eastern Partnerships provide a perfect ground to be more active.

Few months ago the European Union grew again. Croatia became the 28th member state. This new enlargement showed once again that the EU project does not stop, nor slows down. It also underlined the credibility of the enlargement policy under which the countries are admitted after they delivered on the necessary criteria. The agenda of the Lithuanian Presidency in this semester is a good proof of the determination to keep this policy going.

Another meeting of the ruling coalition took place last Thursday. The members of the coalition discussed about additional direct payments for farmers, Institute of Oncology, salary of culture workers, and centralized management of state property.

On 31 October, the Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius, who is paying an official visit to Hungary, took part in a meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Visegrad countries, Austria, Turkey and the Western Balkans, which discussed important issues related to the EU's enlargement and its prospects. The meeting is organised at the initiative of the Hungarian Presidency of the Visegrad Group.

Wednesday, October 31, the Bīriņi Castle in Latvia - President Dalia Grybauskaitė met with Latvian President Andris Bērziņš and Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves. It is a traditional annual meeting of the three Baltic presidents who gather to discuss topical regional issues and ways to strengthen cooperation among their countries.

On October 31, at 10:00 a.m., President Dalia Grybauskaitė will meet with Latvian President Andris Bērziņš and Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves at the Bīriņi Castle in Latvia.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė met with Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel García-Margallo. The meeting focused on the Lithuanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, preparations for the upcoming Vilnius Summit, and other important EU matters. The discussion also included bilateral relations between Lithuania and Spain as well as an issue of importance to both countries - completion of the EU's internal energy market.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė met with Pat Cox who leads a European Parliament monitoring mission in Ukraine. He has been co-leading the mission together with the former Polish President Aleksander Kwaśniewski since June 2012.
