The 8-persons parliamentary fraction of EAPL – as the only one in the ruling coalition – has voted against reinstatement of the reduced deputies' salaries to the level before the financial crisis.

Today both parties were the first ones to be registered as the participants of the election campaign in the Central Electoral Commission.

On 27th – 29th November Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius took place. The summit was attended by many dignitaries from EU member States, EU institutions as well as states covered by the Eastern Partnership programme, i.e. Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Armenia, and Azerbaijan.

On 3-4 December, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Andrius Krivas will attend a NATO Foreign Ministerial in Brussels.

On behalf of the Lithuanian people and on her own behalf, President Dalia Grybauskaitė extended congratulations to President Traian Băsescu of Romania on the occasion of the 95th Anniversary of Unification Day.

Eastern Partnership: the way ahead

The Heads of State or Government and the representatives of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, the representatives of the European Union and the Heads of State or Government and representatives of its Member States have met in Vilnius on 28-29 November 2013. The President of the European Parliament and representatives of the Committee of the Regions, the European Economic and Social Committee, the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) the Conference of Regional and Local Authorities of the Eastern Partnership (CORLEAP) and the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly were also present at the Summit.
