"Lithuania and Spain know and recognize the importance of the rule of law, respect for human rights and democratic principles. I am delighted that during this half-year - as Lithuania presides over the Council of the European Union - together we are working towards a reliable Europe that responds to the values we all share and ensures well-being to its people," the President wrote in her message of congratulations.
The President wished His Majesty continued health and success, as well as long years of prosperity and welfare to his country and its people.
