Blair who was appointed in summer. The officials addressed Canada’s contribution to the Baltic security and defence and bilateral cooperation. The Canadian Defence Minister reiterated Canada’s resolve to invest more capabilities in the security in the eastern flank.

Lithuania and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) will launch a joint resilience-building programme to combat disinformation and foreign threats. Giedrė Balčytytė, Chancellor of the Government, who is participating in the conference "Strengthening democracy through information integrity", stressed the need to share experience and best practices, combining the efforts of OECD member states and other democratic partners.

On 13 November in Brussels, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis attended the EU’s Foreign Affairs Council, which focused on further support for Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression and ways to increase Russia’s isolation in international organisations, the EU’s efforts to ease tensions between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the EU’s engagement to prevent the expansion of the conflict in the Middle East region.

President Gitanas Nausėda met with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin on Monday to discuss bilateral cooperation between Lithuania and Germany, regional security and defense issues, further response to Russia’s aggression in Ukraine, and the situation in the Middle East.
