The EU-Gulf summit on October 16 will focus on strategic partnership and enhancing cooperation. Leaders from the EU and Gulf countries will also address key geopolitical challenges, including the conflict in the Middle East and Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. On the sidelines of the summit, the President is scheduled to meet with heads of state from the region.
The European Council meeting on October 17 will focus on support for Ukraine, migration, the EU’s competitiveness, and the situation in the Middle East. European leaders will also discuss the outlook for Moldova and Georgia’s Euro-integration, as well as preparations for the UN Climate Change Conference (COP29) in November.
