MBA Entrepreneurship Program at Vilnius University Business School is a unique program: it is the only MBA program at Vilnius University aimed at developing entrepreneurial rather than general managerial competences. This July, VU Business School awarded diplomas to its very first MBA Entrepreneurship graduates.

July 22nd-August 9th, 2019, the international Mykolas Romeris Summer University 2019: Communication, Culture, Heritage and Security is being held on campus. There are 21 participants from 12 universities and 8 countries taking part.

“LinkMenų fabrikas” – a creativity and innovation centre at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU) – hosted an international summer school “HEI MAKERS 4.0”. The two-week summer school was for young makers – students from Lithuania, Latvia and Romania. Every country was represented by eight students and tutors came VGTU, Riga Technical University and Politehnica University of Bucharest.

In July, over a hundred students from around the world gather in Kaunas and Vilnius in order to deepen their knowledge of various fields or get acquainted with Lithuania: here, they not only attend lectures and practical seminars but also spend time with Lithuanian families, taste national dishes, sing local songs, watch Lithuanian movies, and travel around the country. These and many other activities are offered by Baltic Summer University: a project initiated by Vytautas Magnus University (VMU), recognized as one of the most international in Lithuania.

An international engineering summer school “VGTU-CalPoly 2019” has started at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU). Next six weeks several dozen students from the California State Polytechnic University (CalPoly) and from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at VGTU will study engineering courses intensively. Lithuanian American prof. Edmundas Saliklis is the founder and one of the tutors this year teaching together with prof. Brent Nuttall and prof. Peter Laursen.

In the contemporary fast-changing world, the duration of studies is becoming one of the key factors in choosing the study programme. 3-year bachelor’s studies are becoming a norm in many European universities. Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) is keeping up with the global tendencies – the first shorter, more intensive and more efficient studies were introduced in 2017.
