The Minister underscored close relations between Lithuania and Pennsylvania. According to him, Lithuania’s relations with the U.S. are further strengthening and Pennsylvania may be Lithuania’s gateway. Significant Lithuania’s achievements in natural sciences and the level of development of IT sector, that could be a great spur for mutual trade and investment, were emphasised at the meeting. The Minister also proposed establishing relations between cyber defence communities. On Friday, 9 June, President Dalia Grybauskaitė leaves on a working visit to Kharkov where she will meet with President Petro Poroshenko of Ukraine. One of the aims of the visit is to mark visa-free travel throughout the European Union that Ukrainians will enjoy from 11 June.
