The State Food and Veterinary Service (VMVT) has reported that three new African swine fever (ASF) hotbeds were detected on Friday in small farms of Trakai district in Lithuania. A total of 6 ASF cases have been found in Trakai district this week.

Statistics Lithuania informs that, according to the Labour Force Survey data, in II quarter 2015, the unemployment rate stood at 9.4%. In II quarter 2015, against I quarter 2015, the unemployment rate decreased by 0.6 percentage points, against II quarter 2014 – by 1.8 percentage points. In II quarter 2015, the male unemployment rate stood at 10.7%, female – 8%.

Activity results of state enterprises overseen by the Ministry of Transport and Communications in Lithuania have shown that even those companies that had been in the red became profitable in 2014 and the first half of 2015.
