Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU) and Yancheng Institute of Technology from China continue the development of bilateral cooperation. On 19 April, management team of Yancheng Institute of Technology visited VGTU to sign a partnership agreement on further development of strategic interinstitutional cooperation. The main focus of this partnership agreement is double degree programmes for future civil engineering and architecture professionals.

From September 2018 Vilnius University (VU) has offered a unique international Systems Biology Master's program in English. It is a joint programme of three VU faculties – the Life Science Center, the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics and the Faculty of Medicine. The coordinator of the Programme, a professor of the Faculty of Medicine, dr. Audronė Jakaitienė says that "this study program is so unique, that it is not offered in any other higher education institution in Lithuania or other Baltic states".

April 17th Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU) has signed a partnership agreement with global training and maintenance provider ALL4JETS and the small partnership Asava.aero, expanding the practical training of aviation mechanics and specialists of avionics.
