At the end of February, Auto Diagnostics Lab equipped with contemporary diagnostics tools was opened in Kaunas University of Technology Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Group of Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), Lithuania information technology researchers together with colleagues from other countries have developed a computer game for dementia carers. In the game the players experience various everyday situations, face and deal with the challenges and in such a way build knowledge and skills on how to care for dementia patients. The game will be freely available online; it is the first mover aimed at dementia carers, not just the patients. From bigger budget to more opportunities for disadvantaged people. Parliament's culture and education committee is suggesting new priorities for the next Erasmus+ programme. We should not believe that technologies of virtual reality are only needed for games and other forms of entertainment. They provide much wider possibilities of application. Lithuanian scientists are ready to offer solutions of virtual and augmented reality, which are helpful in rehabilitation, promote physical activity, support companies to organise staff trainings, promote tourism and real estate market, and solve other urgent problems. PhD students of the Faculty of Medicine at Vilnius University (VU) participated in a course of lectures “Research Ethics & Research Integrity: Basics and recent developments”, led by prof. Stefan Eriksson from Uppsala University (Sweden), who is a famous expert in this field.
