‘It is possible, that the present government is formed illegally,’ said Valdemar Tomaševski, chairman of the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania - Christian Families Alliance (EAPL-CFA) and Member of the European Parliament during the press conference that was organised in the Seimas on 13th November. According to the politician, it is likely that 4 members from the new ruling majority swore unlawfully last Friday, because the Electoral Law to the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and certain procedures for appealing against the election results in the Constitutional Court were violated. Moreover, the oath was taken by the President of the Constitutional Court Dainius Žalimas, who has no legitimacy and has been holding this office illegally since summer.

According to the former judge of the Constitutional Court, professor of constitutional law Vytautas Sinkevičius, the complaint of the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania-Christian Families Alliance (EAPL-CFA) regarding gross violations during this year's parliamentary elections should be submitted to the entire Seimas for consideration.

Chairman of the Federal Union of European Nationalities (FUEN), Member of the European Parliament (MEP) Lorant Vincze has turned to MEP Valdemar Tomaševski and the Association of Poles in Lithuania (APL) with a request to support another pan-European initiative supporting traditional national minorities and asked for help in collecting signatures in Lithuania.

Yesterday, the faction of the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania- Christian Families Alliance (EAPL-CFA) issued a statement entitled ‘Scandalous hate speech directed at Poles in Lithuania’. It was presented by Česlav Olševski.
