Thursday, July 18, Vilnius - President Dalia Grybauskaitė met with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Bidzina Ivanishvili, to discuss EU relations with Georgia, the EU's Eastern Partnership and preparation for the Vilnius Summit to be held this autumn.

Wednesday, July 17, Vilnius - President Dalia Grybauskaitė met with the representatives of the European Parliament's Committee on Legal Affairs (JURI) to discuss the main tasks of the Lithuanian Presidency in the field of European law.

Tuesday, July 16, Vilnius - President Dalia Grybauskaitė met with members of the Executive Bureau of the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly (EuroLat). The meetings of the standing parliamentary committees are starting today in Vilnius with 150 members of the European Parliament and Latin-American parliamentarians taking part. This is the first EuroLat event held in Lithuania.

The leader of Labour Party, Viktor Uspaskich, was sentenced for four years of jail, however, he can move freely because of the monetary deposit that he had to pay - half a million litas. Viktor Uspaskich has already left for Russia saying that his visit was long premeditated and he does not intend to hide.

Tuesday, July 16, Vilnius - President Dalia Grybauskaitė met with the representatives of the European Parliament's Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) to discuss the main tasks of the Lithuanian Presidency relating to energy, innovation, research, and the digital market.

Less than a day after the court's decision Viktor Uspaskich left the country – flew to his homeland Russia. The politician assures that he does not intend to hide from law enforcement; however, he indicates that he promised to arrange a celebration in his hometown in Urdoma, Russia.
