"Congratulations on your victory in Georgia's presidential election. I wish you every success and continued strength at this time of great importance to Georgia. Your country has passed yet another test of democracy and therefore I sincerely hope that together we will be able to evaluate Georgia's European choice at the forthcoming Vilnius Summit," the President wrote in her message of congratulations.
Dalia Grybauskaitė wished the Georgian President-elect and the people of his country unity, togetherness and strong commitment in achieving the established goals.
She pointed out that the path of coming closer to Europe was critical in Georgia's pursuit of political, economic and social modernization and growth, adding that Lithuania had always stood ready to share its experience.
The President of Lithuania invited Giorgi Margvelashvili to the Vilnius Summit to be held this coming November.
