The President said she was delighted that Lithuania and Austria are bound by close bilateral ties and successful cooperation in the fields of energy and business, both important for the two countries.
"Our states truly share a common vision of the European future. I firmly believe that during this half year - as Lithuania presides over the EU Council - and in the years ahead we will work together towards building an open, credible and competitive Europe to ensure security and well-being for all Europeans," the President wrote in her message of congratulations.
Dalia Grybauskaitė also extended congratulations to the Austrian President on his seventy-fifth birthday anniversary. She wished strength and every success to him personally, as well as well-being and prosperity to the people of Austria.
