In the meeting of Business Council for Economic and Trade Cooperation between Belarus and Lithuania, which was taking place in Minks, the special attention was given to the promotion of the investors' cooperation in both countries – first of all, the strategic investment projects such as woodworking, construction and agriculture sectors.

During the press conference that took place on Thursday, chairman of the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania (EAPL) Valdemar Tomaševski informed that he was registered as a participant of the political campaign in elections of the president of Lithuania.

On 14 February, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius chaired discussions on the strengthening of the United Nations-European Union cooperation and interaction. The UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton also delivered speeches.

Last Monday (10th February) a statement was issued in which the Chairman of the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania (EAPL), Member of the European Parliament Valdemar Tomaševski expressed his regret about another attack of the conservative A. Kubilius aimed at the EAPL and about the continuation of inciting national quarrels in the country.
