As it can be seen from the results of the current presidential elections, Valdemar Tomaševski traditionally achieved good results not only in Vilnius and Šalčininkai Disctricts, where he won again, but he also won in many districts of Trakai, Švenčionys, Širvintos, Zarasai areas and Vilnius City.
These results show that not only representatives of national minorities, but also Lithuanian electors voted for the chairman of the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania.
Therefore the pre-election reports showing an increase of support for Valdemar Tomaševski, whose politics is fair, based on Christian values, with concern for the welfare of every citizen of Lithuania, worked out. That is why Poles, Russians, Belarusians and representatives of other nationalities vote for Valdemar Tomaševski. Keeping his word, taking care of all the national minorities, principled views, protection of most vulnerable, fight for civil rights – this is what voters value most in V. Tomaševski and this is also the reason why they support him. He is one of the few politicians in Lithuania, who actually implements their pre-election promises. Tomaševski shows that the major responsibility of a politician is to deal with the problems and harms of every person and battle strenuously for the common good.
The score achieved by Tomaševski in the presidential elections appears to be an effect of good organizational work of the party, dedication to the party and its organized guidance based on clear principles and on building the community of true values.
The first round of the presidential elections is another success of EAPL under the chairmanship of Valdemar Tomaševski. The participation in the presidential elections itself and the received support for the representative of Polish national minority is an achievement at a European scale. No representative of national minorities in EU member states has ever achieved such high results in the presidential elections. For example, the candidate of the numerous Hungarian minority in Romania Hunor Keleman received a bit more than 3 percent of votes in the presidential elections in 2009. All the more it is important to emphasize the result achieved by Valdemar Tomaševski, which demonstrates the growing support for the EAPL chairman and shows appreciation of fair and based on moral principles politics by electors.
