On 20 November in Vilnius, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Marina Kaljurand. The Foreign Ministers discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation, the situation in Ukraine, relations with Russia, security situation in the region and cooperation in the fields of energy and transport. According to Linkevičius, Lithuania and Estonia enjoy excellent bilateral relations. Estonia is Lithuania's important partner in the region, the European Union, NATO and other international organisations.

On 19–20 November 2015, Vilnius will host the 34th Session of the Baltic Assembly (BA) and the 21st Baltic Council. The BA Session is hosted on an annual basis by the country holding the BA Presidency. The Lithuanian Presidency is due to end on 31 December 2015 and will be transferred to Latvia.

On Monday, Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius has attended an annual meeting with the European Union ambassadors to Lithuania. The meeting has been organised on the initiative of Ambassador of Luxembourg to Lithuania Georges Faber; Luxembourg holds Presidency of the Council of the European Union during the second semester of 2015. In the meeting, Prime Minister Butkevičius has primarily focused on discussion of the events in France, and talked with the ambassadors about new challenges related to migration of third country nationals to Europe.

On 16 November, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius sent a congratulatory letter to Poland's newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs Witold Waszczykowski. Lithuania's Foreign Minister wrote that Poland was Lithuania's strategic partner in the region and an important ally within the European Union, NATO and other international organisations. Linkevičius expressed his determination to further develop bilateral relations in an atmosphere of good-neighbourliness and strategic friendship.

It's a busy week ahead in Brussels as members attend committee and political group meetings. On Monday representatives of multinational companies share their views with MEPs on recent corporate tax developments in the EU and further afield. A delegation of MEPs heads to London to discuss the upcoming 'Brexit' referendum. Following Friday's terrorist attacks in Paris, Monday has been designated an EU-wide day of mourning. A minute's silence in memory of the victims is to be marked at noon CET.

On 12 November in Minsk, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Vladimir Makei. The Foreign Ministers discussed opportunities for further cooperation between the European Union and Belarus, which would open up thanks to the EU decision to suspend sanctions against Belarus for 4 months.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė will travel to Paris to attend the Leaders' Forum of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) which celebrates its 70th anniversary.

On 11 November 2015, the Seimas Committees on Budget and Finance, on European Affairs and on Economics held a joint meeting titled Smart Specialisation Strategy. Presentations on smart specialisation challenges for Europe and Lithuania were delivered, followed by a discussion on national and international prospects in this regard.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė extended congratulations to Polish President Andrzej Duda and to the people of Poland on Independence Day.
