Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius received the Kosovan Prime Minister Isa Mustafa who came on an official visit to Lithuania. This is the first visit of the Kosovan Head of Government to Lithuania. In the meeting possibilities of developing further trade and economic cooperation were discussed. The Lithuanian Prime Minister expressed his support for the EU-Kosovo dialogue, and emphasised the need to identify and prosecute persons responsible for the death of the Lithuanian customs officer.

It's a busy week ahead in Brussels as members return from duties in their constituencies or with parliamentary delegations. In coming days committees deal with the macroeconomic programme for Greece, plans for energy union and the ECB's quantitative easing programme. In plenary on Wednesday MEPs are set to discuss and vote on EU funding to deal with the Syrian conflict and irregular migration from Africa. The aviation sector and electoral law reform will also be on the agenda.

Loreta Graužinienė, Speaker of the Seimas, met with Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia, and the delegation under his leadership during their official visit to Lithuania. The Speaker of the Seimas welcomed the vigorous parliamentary dialogue between the two countries and the transfer of experience in the areas of democratic reform and European integration.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė met with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, currently on a visit to Lithuania, to discuss regional security issues and Georgia's progress in implementing reforms required for EU and NATO membership.

On 4 November in Vilnius, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius met with the Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, who is visiting Lithuania as part of the delegation led by the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili. The Foreign Ministers discussed Georgia's efforts of European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė is travelling to Romania on a working visit tomorrow, November 4, where she will attend the Central European Summit.

The Permanent Missions of Lithuania and Greece together with UNESCO organized an interactive Panel discussion on "Ending impunity for crimes against journalists: putting resolutions into practice" on the occasion of the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists on 2 November.

During the visit to London on 27-28 October, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Andrius Krivas met with the British Minister of State for European Affairs David Lidington, the Chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Lithuania of the House of Commons Mark Pritchard, and its members. During the meetings, the officials exchanged their views on the implementation of decisions of the NATO Summit in Wales, cooperation in the field of defence, and discussed the situation in Ukraine.

Loreta Graužinienė, Speaker of the Seimas, met with the newly appointed Ambassador of Denmark to Lithuania, Dan Eddie Frederiksen. The Speaker discussed with the Ambassador the bilateral relations between Lithuania and Denmark and cooperation at the EU, NATO, and Nordic-Baltic levels.
