The Council of Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) announces an open international competition to fill the position of Rector of the University. The Rector of the University is elected for a term of five years under the Law on Higher Education and Research of the Republic of Lithuania, the Statute of Vytautas Magnus University and the Description of the Process for Election approved by the Council of Vytautas Magnus University. The application documents are accepted from 27 July until 3.00 pm, 27 August.

Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU) in an alliance with other European higher education institutions under the initiative European Universities has been granted the European Commission’s funding of €5 million for a project Advanced Technology Higher Education Network Alliance – ATHENA.

Students can begin autumn semester studies in international Bachelor's and Master's Degree programmes at Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) remotely online. MRU offers this possibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

These programmes are addressed to PhD students, postgraduate students, early stage researchers, senior researchers and professors of the 7 universities that form the Alliance.
