In April 2022, the Center for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) decided to accredit the MRU Translation and Editing Bachelor‘s Degree studies programme for a 7-year period, the maximum possible. SKVC‘s international expert commission, led by Prof. Dr. Andrew Goodspeed, evaluated the programme in February. The Commission published an expert external evaluation of the first cycle studies in the field of Translation conducted by Mykolas Romeris University.

April 7-11th, 2022, the first and biggest event of the Erasmus Generation took place in Porto and brought together more than 800 participants from all over Europe in a conference on future mobility, with a focus on the new Erasmus+ programme 2021-2027.

In the spring semester of 2021/2022, VILNIUS TECH, the first among the ATHENA European University Alliance partners, organised 3 ECTS “Smart Community” Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) for the students of the Alliance. In the last week of April, the 3rd KTU international teaching week Global Faculty Week 2022 will take place, during which 50 guest lecturers from 22 countries will give lectures to the University students. This year’s event is organised in a mixed way – more than half of the guest lecturers will teach in person.

INCLUDE (INCLUsive Disaster Education) is a collaborative research project co-funded by EU Erasmus+ programme. This two-year research initiative aims to reimagine online distance learning education so that it better supports the diverse Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) community.

Vilnius University (VU) has risen in the latest subject ranking of the world’s universities QS World University Rankings by Subject 2022 and is currently among the 450 best universities in the world in three fields of study (last year, the university was among 500 best universities). Based on the number of collected points, physical sciences remain the best-rated field of science and studies at the university, while linguistics is the highest-rated field of science and studies at Vilnius University. This year’s ranking also assessed three new fields of science and studies at VU, two rose to a higher position.
