After a period where traveling was highly restricted, the Arqus Management Team and the Arqus Student Council have had the opportunity to hold a 3-day meeting each at the University of Granada.

VILNIUS TECH will run WP3 together with the University of Ruhuna. WP3 aim - development of Smart Agro-ecosystem based resilience center for teaching, learning, research and development (SAR). SAR will be developed to provide teaching materials, learning materials, evaluation procedures, assignments and other required materials for complete the courses. Interconnected virtual library facilities will be provided for students by all participant universities.

The main focus of cooperation is to promote mutual cooperation in research, education and train IT professionals. Researchers from Kaunas universities in Lithuania developed a deep learning-based method that can predict the possible onset of Alzheimer’s disease from brain images with an accuracy of over 99 per cent. The method was developed while analysing functional MRI images obtained from 138 subjects and performed better in terms of accuracy, sensitivity and specificity than previously developed methods.

Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) has launched an open competition for university fee exemptions for autumn semester of the academic year 2021/2022. The purpose of the competition is to achieve the mission of socially responsible university by reducing social exclusion, creating appropriate financial conditions for VMU students to be accommodated and (or) study (taking into account different social (material) situations, study results and (or) accommodation in the dormitory).
