On October 19th, “Time for Asia” events start a new season with an open lecture about China’s foreign policy. The lecture will be held at 5:30 P.M. in VMU multifunctional science and studies center (V. Putvinskis 23) 310 auditorium.

13 October the regalia of honorary doctor of Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) were awarded to Professor Klaus Schwab, the Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum, the international organisation, which is encouraging the collaboration between public and business organisations. Professor Klaus Schwab is the 45th Honorary Doctor of KTU.

“Science and technologies are creating the world of today. I am not worried about the environmental problems any more – I trust science”, says Eeva Pitkälä, a science journalist from Finland. She is convinced that most young researchers from various fields today are having in mind the environmental issues as the main priority.

October 27th 2017, marking the 25th anniversary of the Constitution, an international conference, "25th Anniversary of Constitution: Experience, Problems and New Challenges," will be held at the Seimas parliament's Hall of the Act of March 11th, (Gedimino pr. 53, Vilnius).

October 9th, 2017, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) informed the Ministry of Education and Science about its decision to implement the concept of an independent institution of higher education.

On Wednesday, 11 October the new Council of Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) held its first meeting. During the meeting the new Chairman of the Council – Vice-President of SBA Group Dalius Misiūnas – has been elected.

This fall semester, 20 Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) joint Master's Degree students, studying in the European and International Business Law programme, are attending lectures at the University of Savoie Mont Blanc in France.
