Researchers working at Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) Startup Space, which is one of the divisions of the KTU National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre, are developing a silent and energetically efficient ventilation device (recuperator), which retains up to 89 percent of heat.

Hollister Incorporated, a US-based global manufacturer of medical devices and equipment has started building of the new production site in Kaunas. The celebratory event of the opening of the building site, took place on Wednesday, 8 November. It is planned that the new Hollister Incorporated production site will be finished in 2019.
