On Tuesday, Lithuania's Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius received French Minister for Foreign Trade Nicole Bricq. During the meeting, the issues of the bilateral relations between Lithuania and France, the perspectives of the economy, the investments and the agreements related to the free trade with U.S. and Japan were being discussed.

The cargo handling turnover in Klaipėda Port within the analysed period reached 17.2 mln. tn, the year-on-year change was +2.3 pct. or +390.2 thous. tn, meanwhile 4.3 mln. tn of cargo were handled at Butingės terminal, the year-on-year change being +29.0 pct. or +988.5 thous tn.

On September 20th, air carrier company Air Lituanica will add a Vilnius-Praha route to the three regular direct flights it already offers. On the 21st, the carrier will also add a Vilnius-Munich route. Air Lituanica's second Embraer 175 will fly the two routes. The aircraft, which seats 86, is being leased from ECC Leasing, an Embraer daughter company.
