In April 2013, Lithuania signed such agreements with Kuwait and Morocco, in June – with Turkmenistan, Cyprus and the United Arab Emirates.
After ratification of the agreements, conditions, encouraging the representatives of these countries to invest in Lithuania, will be created, ensuring the avoidance of double taxation on income earned in Lithuania. The same will apply to Lithuanian companies investing in the said five countries.
At present, 49 agreements on avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion are in effect in Lithuania.
