One of the biggest Belgium's companies Ghelamco is interested in the opportunity to invest in the 35 hectares territory in Kaunas from which it is planned to remove the Air Force Search and Rescue Station.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė attended the Investors' Forum awards ceremony and congratulated businesses that contributed most of all to creating new jobs and good relationship with communities, as well as agencies and media representatives for fostering business environment and investment climate in the country. Traditional awards have brought together more than 700 people.

The Ministry of Economy is calling Lithuanian small and medium-sized enterprises for proposals for support of innovative environmental protection technology development and implementation. The number of persons employed increased by 0.1% in both the euro area and the EU in the fourth quarter of 2013 compared with the previous quarter, Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, said. Statistics Lithuania informs that in February 2014, compared to January, just as in February 2013, compared to January 2012, zero inflation was recorded. In February 2014, compared to January, prices for consumer goods and services remained almost unchanged (minus 0.04%).

The consolidated sales of the company for February 2014 amounted to 36.6 million litas (10.6 million euros) – by 52% more as compared to February 2013, the company said in a statement.
