On 18 August 2015, Siauliu Bankas has received a notification from the Bank of Lithuania stating that the Board of the Bank of Lithuania passed a resolution to agree with reorganisation of the bank Finasta AB merging it with Siauliu Bankas AB by acquisition. In July 2015, the average price for electricity in the Nord Pool Spot Lithuanian bidding area was 23% lower than at the same time last year, reaching EUR 44.3/MWh. Compared to June, the price of electricity rose by 4%, the Lithuanian electricity transmission system operator Litgrid AB reports. Statistics Lithuania informs that in July 2015 industrial production totalled EUR 1.6 billion at current prices and, compared to June, decreased by 0.2% at constant prices, seasonally and working day adjusted –increased by 0.6%. In June 2015, Klaipeda Seaport reported about the largest vessel ever entering the Seaport within the entire period of its history – it was the 324.8 meter-long container ship MSC Charleston. However, after a couple of months this record has been improved – on 9 August Klaipeda Seaport received the 336.68 metres in length and 45.60 metres in breadth containership MSC ASYA. |
