President Dalia Grybauskaitė attended the inauguration of the Nasdaq technology and business support competence center as well as a new office of the stock exchange Nasdaq Vilnius and the Lithuanian Central Securities Depository in Vilnius.

In the first nine months of 2015 real estate developers sold 2,650 new apartments in Vilnius, 8% more compared with the same period last year. Supply in a year increased by 26%, to 4,200 apartments.

Pursuant to preliminary data as of the 5th of October 2015 the cargo handling turnover in Klaipeda Seaport in September of 2015 increased by 11,2% or by 356,6 thou. tn to 3,54 mln tn comparing with September of 2014. It is absolutely the best September within the entire history of Klaipeda Seaport.

Statistics Lithuania informs that in September 2015, compared to August, prices for consumer goods and services increased by 0.6%. In September 2015, annual (September 2015, against September 2014) deflation stood at 1% (in September 2014, against September 2013, deflation stood at 0.1%).

In the second quarter of 2015, the flow of foreign direct investment (FDI) to Lithuania amounted to EUR 65.23 million, or 3.5 times more than in the same period a year ago.

The Awards, which celebrate their tenth anniversary, aim at strengthening Lithuanian and Swedish business ties and highlighting business responsibility towards society and nature as well as the benefits of international cooperation in business.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius has met with Li Xiaopeng, President of one of the largest China's state-owned corporations China Merchants Group (CMG) and the delegation to discuss investment opportunities in Lithuania, Chinese delegation's plans for our country, and to sign a letter of intent between Klaipėda Seaport Authority, logistics services company VPA Logistics and the CMG.

During September 2015, the Lithuanian company Klaipedos Nafta reloaded 393,000 tons of petroleum products into its storage tanks of Klaipeda oil terminal and Subacius fuel base (SFB), i.e. down by 6.2% compared with September 2014, when 419,000 tons were reloaded, the company said in a statement.

IT and telecommunications company Teo acquires the mobile operator Omnitel from its current shareholder TeliaSonera. This allows Teo and Omnitel to meet the customers' increasing demand of converged offerings on the market including fixed, mobile, internet, TV and IT services, Teo said in a statement.

In an interview, Economy Minister Dana Reizeniece-Ozola (Greens/Farmers) points out that it is important for Latvia to agree on long-term gas cooperation with Lithuania.
