Polish company Gornicze Biuro Projektow PANGAZ sp. z o. o., who won the public procurement of the transmission system operator Elering with a 2.7 million euro offer, is to advise the procurement of the portion of the Balticconnector gas pipeline to be built on land.

Average gross monthly wages in Lithuania's economy, excluding sole proprietorships, rose by 8.7% in the second quarter of 2017 compared with a year ago to reach 838.7 euros, Statistics Lithuania said on August 25th.

According to Statistics Lithuania, in II quarter 2017, the country’s accommodation establishments received 784.7 thousand tourists, or by 7.2% more than in the same quarter of 2016. Compared to the same period of 2016, the number of overnight stays grew by 7.6%. One guest stayed in an accommodation establishment for, on average, 2.3 nights.

The Gardenia Seaways, a large ro-ro freight vessel of Klaipeda-registered DFDS Seaways, entered service between the Dutch port of Rotterdam and the British port of Imminghan in 2017, and as its sister ship, the Tulipa Seaways, is to be added to the route shortly, the daily Lietuvos Zinios reported on August 22nd.
