EconomyStatistics Lithuania informs that, based on provisional data, in June 2017, the turnover (VAT excluded) of retail trade1 enterprises amounted to EUR 866.4 million at current prices, and against May 2017, seasonally and calendar adjusted, decreased by 1.7% at constant prices (unadjusted – by 2.4%). Finnish-owned Forum Cinemas, which owns movie theaters in Lithuania's largest cities and towns, posted revenue of 16.415 million euros last year, up by 12.7%, from 14.56 million euros, in 2015. Statistics Lithuania informs that in June 2017, based on provisional data, industrial production totalled EUR 1.7 billion at current prices and, compared to May, seasonally and calendar adjusted, decreased by 0.7% at constant prices (unadjusted – increased by 1.7%). The natural gas supply and trade company Lietuvos Dujų Tiekimas owned by the state-owned Lietuvos Energija Group signed a contract on gas supply with the largest Latvian natural gas consumer Latvenergo. Polish-owned Lithuanian oil company Orlen Lietuva posted a net profit of 81 million euros (USD 93 mln) for the first six months of 2017, down 27%, from 111.5 million euros (USD 51 mln), a year ago. Lithuania's energy construction group Enerstenos Grupe (Enerstena Group) has signed a contract worth over 3 million euros to build a 10-megawatt (MW) biomass boiler plant at a wood processing facility of Latvia's AmberBirch.
