President Gitanas Nausėda, together with First Lady Diana Nausėdienė, continues his visit to Poland at the invitation of President Andrzej Duda. The Presidents of Lithuania and Poland dedicated this Sunday afternoon to commemorate their countries’ common geopolitical history and to discuss possibilities of expanding cultural cooperation.

On 8 July, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis met with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe (CoE) Marija Pejčinović Burić and discussed topical issues of the region, and the CoE's role in defending the main values of the organisation: democracy, the rule of law, and human rights.

On July 8-9, President Gitanas Nausėda is participating in the sixth Three Seas Initiative summit (3SI) in Sofia. The summit is dedicated to reinforcement of integration into the EU and to enhanced transatlantic cooperation of the Adriatic Sea, the Baltic Sea, and the Black Sea region.

On Thursday, July 8, President Gitanas Nausėda is meeting with Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sánchez Pérez-Castejón, at Šiauliai Air Base of the Lithuanian Air Force.

On 2 July, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Arnoldas Pranckevičius took part in an online event “Economy, environment, education – possible seeds for Ukraine’s growth?”, during which the EU-Ukraine Civil Society Platform presented its proposals regarding Ukraine’s priorities for the future reform agenda. According to the initiators of the civil initiative, there must be three guiding principles for reform: a new quality of education, new elements of economic growth, and a new environmental policy.

Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė has met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Toshimitsu Motegi to discuss ways to strengthen the bilateral strategic ties and political and economic cooperation, also the latest developments in the European Union’s Eastern neighbourhood and in the Indian Pacific regions.

President Gitanas Nausėda extended congratulations to U.S. President Joseph R. Biden and the American people as they celebrate on the 245th anniversary of Independence Day.
