On 3 December in Belgrade, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius is attending the annual OSCE Ministerial Council, which brought together Foreign Ministers from 57 OSCE participating States to discuss key challenges to European security. This year, the political debates focus on the ongoing conflict in eastern Ukraine.

NATO must be ready to effectively respond to threats, no matter where they arise from, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius at the NATO Foreign Ministers' meeting on 1 December.

On 30 November in New York, Lithuania and Angola co-hosted the UN Security Council's Arria-formula meeting on the impact of the illicit trade in small arms and light weapons and poaching in Africa. The organisers hoped that the meeting would help further increase awareness of the linkages that existed between the illicit trafficking in small arms and poaching and their role in fuelling conflict.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė attended the Climate Change Conference (COP21) and delivered a speech at the session of world leaders. The Paris conference aims to reach a global agreement to further reduce climate change after the second Kyoto commitment period ends in 2020.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė is in Brussels attending the EU-Turkey summit at which Turkey is represented by Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu. The summit has been held to manage the flow of Syrian refugees crossing Turkey.

The Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Mantvydas Bekešius and Foreign Ministers of the Union for the Mediterranean marked 20 years of the Barcelona process on 26 November.

Federica Mogherini, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, met today with Nikola Poposki, Foreign Minister of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.

On 26 November, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius met with the Minister of Economy of Armenia Karen Chshmaritian, who is visiting Lithuania, and members of the Lithuanian-Armenian Intergovernmental Commission on Bilateral Economic Cooperation. The officials discussed prospects for strengthening economic ties.
