The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania has allocated EUR 20, 000 for humanitarian aid in Yemen. The funds will be transferred to the United Nations Yemen Humanitarian Fund.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė, who is continuing her two-day state visit to Poland, took part in a trilateral meeting with Polish President Andrzej Duda and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.

The European Commission has opened an in-depth investigation to determine whether the British Capacity Market scheme to safeguard security of electricity supply is in line with EU State aid rules. This follows the EU General Court's annulment of a previous Commission decision approving the scheme.

On 13 February, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Albinas Zananavičius presented steps taken by the Lithuanian diplomatic service to prepare for the United Kingdom’s forthcoming withdrawal from the EU without a withdrawal agreement on 29 March 2019.

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a compendium of legislative measures needed to prepare for the possible no-deal withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union.

On 13-14 February, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius participated in the Ministerial to Promote a Future of Peace and Security in the Middle East in Warsaw. The event was held jointly by the United States and Poland.
