During the conversation, the President congratulated his Ukrainian counterpart on his party’s victory in the elections and emphasized that the trust given by the Ukrainian people is the greatest commitment and responsibility for the future of Ukraine and its people. "That is the strongest mandate to work responsibly for the welfare of your country and to put every effort to ensure the continuation of vital reforms and form a demanding government", said the President.
When talking to the Ukrainian leader the President highlighted that Lithuania strongly supports sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and once again expressed overall support on behalf of the Lithuanian people, who had overcome a tough period of changes too, to Ukraine which demonstrated its willingness to seek for even greater integration with the EU.
President Zelensky in his turn thanked President Nausėda for his consistent efforts to raise the issues of Ukraine in the international arena.
