Lithuania's integrated telecoms, IT and TV services provider Teo LT, which is controlled by Sweden's TeliaSonera, plans to implement reorganization, as part of which its subsidiaries, Omnitel and Baltic Data Center, would be merged into the parent company.

Continuous rotations of the brigade elements will be started in early 2017.

Strengthening NATO agreed assurance measures in the Baltic region, more than 600 rotational German troops and several hundred military vehicles will arrive to Lithuania by several stages to conduct joint exercises and training. On March 30-April 9 the first group of German troops and vehicles - nearly 300 German Armed Forces French-German Infantry Brigade 291 Infantry Battalion soldiers with more than 150 multi-purpose military vehicles are arriving to Lithuania.

According to the EU chief transport official, Henrik Hololei, the European Commission is expecting Lithuania to make the 123-kilometer section of European-standard gauge railway on the route of the Rail Baltica from Kaunas to the Lithuanian border allow speeds of up to 240 kilometers per hour, the Estonian daily Postimees reported on March 28th.

Food safety MEPs reiterated their support for introducing mandatory country of origin labelling of meat and milk, in a non-binding resolution voted on Tuesday. Mandatory labelling would help maintain consumer confidence in food products by making the food supply chain more transparent, they say.
