PoliticsPrime Minister Alexis Tsipras will attend tomorrow morning's key plenary debate on the future of Greece and the conclusions of his summit meeting on Tuesday with EU leaders and of the 25-26 June European Council. Council President Donald Tusk and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker will join the debate, which starts at about 9.30 in the Strasbourg plenary chamber. On July 7 Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army General Raymond Odierno will conduct a visit to Lithuania at the invitation of the Commander of the Lithuanian Land Force, Major General Almantas Leika. The European Commission takes note of and respects the result of the referendum in Greece. Loreta Graužinienė, Speaker of the Seimas, met with Philippe Jeantaud, the new Ambassador of France to the Republic of Lithuania. The Speaker welcomed the Ambassador to Lithuania and expressed her hope that the excellent relations between Lithuania and France would be developed further. During the meeting, the new Ambassador and the Speaker of the Seimas discussed the economic, cultural, educational, and social matters. The Prime Minister has thanked the Ambassador for his personal contribution in the development of excellent bilateral relations, expressed support for Ukraine's independence and territorial integrity, and emphasized that Lithuania will continue to provide every assistance to Ukraine.
