On 3 October in Brussels, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius along with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Mikheil Janelidze participated in a dialogue “What next for the Eastern Partnership?”. Linkevičius delivered a speech, highlighting that confidence in the Eastern Partnership and in the viability of the policy depended directly on the fulfilment of obligations by the EUs.

Plans to waive visa requirements for Ukrainian citizens entering the Schengen area were approved by the Civil Liberties Committee on Monday. If approved by Parliament and Council, it will allow Ukrainians who have a biometric passport to enter the EU area without a visa for 90 days in any 180-day period, for business, tourist or family purposes.
